ADHS (2024) DANCE; REASEARCH; ART WORK
An audio piece emerged along acoustic and conversation-based research plus audience talk for the interdisciplinary performance production "ADHS", which aims to express the inner world of a neurodivergent person with dance, language, sound. A production by Tina Streich with Sueki Yee and Julian Emmanuel Große.
The audio piece is based on seven conversations with persons of different backgrounds about their (daily) life experiences with ADHD - or better said: in a neurotypical environment.
Having their voices in the performance piece means having sparks of the realities behind a story, behind a piece of art, right in the room with us--right on the stage. Their daily struggles reveal the intersectionality of discrimination. About violence, medication, and drug abuse. About a life outside of what's considered as „normal". The pain and the beauty of it.
