multidiziplinary art collective
A counter-design to exhibition spaces in the sense of the "white cube", which makes collaborations of diverse emerging and established artists and the expansion of the subcultural cultural program possible.
Marginalized artists are underrepresented in the art scene and there is a lack of spaces where they can collaborate artistically. The Bewegung als Denke group consists of diverse artists from the visual, performing and performing arts, who create from a variety of backgrounds and motives.
In order to enable collaborations of artists from different backgrounds, motives and approaches, they are selected on the basis of their personal relationship to art, their ideas, intentions and reflections. So the technical viewpoint becomes less relevant and non academic education is required. The works that will be created are those that attempt to turn the inner world inside out, as well as those that examine the outer world from the inside.
In the heart of every exhibition or art event is a project, which has been created in collaboration with other collectives, project-rooms or organizations. For all collaborations it is important to us to create an open participatory space, so that new artists, cultural workers and other interested parties can and should participate in the process. With this open yet safe space, an experimental approach to artistic work is made possible. Professional (in the sense of established) artists meet emerging artists or art interested people and together create new movements in thinking.
