We're creating an ever-evolving installation, on which we’re working till the event‘s happening.
The aim is to bring different artists and materials together such as the ThikwaArtists, People from subcultural places, where the installation is installed, BAD-Artists and everyone interested in participating!

Everyone is welcome to create with us and be a part of the project which is the heart of the exhibition in the end.

In the art scene shaped by the “White Cube”  marginalized Artists are underrepresented and there is a lack of spaces in which they can work together artistically. The Bewegung_als_Denke artistsgroup consists of artists of the visual, performing and performative arts that create through their diverse backgrounds and motifs and who are with Bewegung_als_Denke at the same time always in cooperation with other projects and collectives.

In the course of a first implementation phase, the BAD-Artists are working with the artists of the Thikwa workshop. On the grounds of Disco Babel e.V. we started an installation project. This should be extended over several months in the long term. Since the terrain of Disko Babel e.V.’s belongs to a private owner, the location is no longer available for subcultural use, which makes the lack of locations for subculture dramatically obvious.

There is a lack of open space for the subcultural scene in Berlin, although this is this what defines the city. The political structures of the city make it difficult for subculture places to express themselves artistically.
With Bewegungs_als_Denke, subculture and art should come together again.
