the workshop is based on art therapeutic methods and methods i created in order to find experimental and self-reflective approaches towards art. the methods can be understand as a counter draft to how you approached art in school or art school. we are trying to free ourselves from performance pressure and judgmental thinking and dare to create bold art.
to transform emotions and bring inner visions outside, we are trying to use different states of consciousness and experiment with the shifting between them. this refers to the state of flow → in psychology a mental state of complete immersion (concentration) and complete absorption in an activity (absorption) as well as trance → physically and mentally relaxed state that is accompanied by a focusing of attention) by using techniques such as visualization. whenever you feel dizzy or uncomfortable, you can step out of a method, leave the space or find a spot to rest or whatever you need then.
everything in the workshop is made to be used in your own way. i invite you to take the impulses, but all methods are supposed to create an intuitive process. so wherever a method or step we do in the workshops brings you, you are welcome to follow it.
also we all have a different tempo with doing things, so i’ll always try to make smooth transitions, but it’s up to you to follow steps or keep up with your own flow.
this also means you can move, when it seems like it’s not part of what’s happening right now. creating a inclusive, relaxed space → referring to the concept of relaxed performance also means to be tolerant with movements and noises etc. others make. so let’s create a space where you feel comfortable to do whatever we want. the only thing to always be clear about is respecting the borders of your surroundings.
with all this, we can create a safe space for experimenting, so don’t hold back yourself but try whatever feels good, be curious and brave. use the artistic safe space for trying out new things.

try to not stress yourself before we meet. but please also try to come as punctual as possible for you, because a collective start is important and so it would be lovely to have everyone in from beginning on. if you come later or not at all please tell me so we can wait/do not wait for you! my telephone number is +4917647792529
I don’t have fixed times for workshop durations, since every session has its own dynamic. so best is to have no short timing afterwards. Approximately it will be around 2-3 hours.
I love taking pictures of you while creating together, but I also know it creates a different atmosphere. So I always take 2-3 minutes while the workshop to photograph, which I will announce then, so you know what’s going on. The photos are for yourself, but I also use them for my work such as my website or social media. If you don’t want to be in the internet/photographed at all, tell me before the workshop.
